Our story
Hyehwa Dodam is at 16-6 Daemyeong 1-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul — a Korean kitchen in the Hyehwa and Daehangno alley. We steam kimchi with pork, steam ribs, and fry daepa-jeon.

Because lunch used to be thin
The owner remembers student and office lunches that were not enough. That is why weekday lunch has unlimited rice and a self banchan bar. Take only what you will finish, in small amounts. We reheat food that has gone cold. Leftovers can be packed.

Food
The house dish is kimchi-jjim: domestic pork shoulder steamed with kimchi. Pork galbi-jjim is scored ribs in soy. Nakji-bokkeum has no extra noodles. Daepa-jeon is ordered after a main.

Makgeolli
Unjeong, Yesan apple Golmok, kettle Pocheon, Seonho, Jipyeong, and chestnut. Soju and bottled beer too.

The room
Wooden tables in a Daehangno alley. Walk from Hyehwa Station Exit 4. There is no lot attached to the restaurant.
